Anyone looking to brush up practice and re-evaluate...
Why not book a place on the:

'Windmills Workshop' 10 - 12 noon

The session will introduce individuals to the five-stage career management process of:

" Where am I now?

" Where do I want to be?

" How do I get there?

" What support do I need to get there?

" How can I keep improving?

The Windmills programme based on the core text of 'The Art of Building Windmills' asks individuals key questions and allows them to explore their own solution to their career management issue. To find out the answers to these questions individuals will complete activities and exercise and record their responses within a progress file which develops into their own personal development plan. The programme has been developed to allow individuals to focus on the skills they need to manage their own careers no matter what situation they may find themselves in in the future. As such it has been used by ourselves with graduates on our own programmes, underemployed individuals, and as part of performance management, employee development programmes in business. It will be facilitated by Helen Wakefield of the Liverpool based Graduates into Employment Unit.

  • This will be followed by the NAEGA annual general meeting (12.45-1.45pm) and two occupational briefings on:
  • Health Careers (Hazel Anderson: NHS Workforce Development Manager) 2.00-3.00pm
  • Further Education teaching and the new QTS requirements for this sector: Maggie Ricketts, Regional Development Officer (NW) FENTO / Team Leader Teacher Education, City College, Manchester (3.00-4.00pm) 'This session will provide information on the new national requirements for qualifications for teaching in Further Education'
