The Branch Development Project is designed to encourage participation at regional/ local level. A major aim in England is to promote branch activity in each region (Government Office Region). The BD Project Manager is Kathy Blackmore () The 'new' North East Branch has been allocated two mentors for the project who are Amanda Green and Siobhan Neary. A key task at this first meeting of the 'revived branch' is to agree a programme of branch activity and identify a small group of members to develop a sustainable branch.
