LSIS career learning, information, advice and guidance events

LSIS is running another series of workshops on topics related to career learning, information, advice and guidance starting in October. The events it ran in 2008/9 and 2009/10 were very popular and it has built on these to include new topic areas. There are workshops looking at resources to support the delivery of CLIAG. Prospects will be bringing an array of resources and delegates will be invited to bring their own and share. LSIS is also running events looking at issues and approaches to CLIAG for particular client groups including those with mental health issues, people on the autistic spectrum, for care leavers and for those in work based learning.
There are a couple of workshops looking at how to support tutor delivered CLIAG and to support this there is a series of CPD modules to support the development of CLIAG and these will be available on the LSIS website shortly for you to download and deliver in your organisation. Topics include, an introduction to CLIAG, ethics and values interviewing skills and group work. LSIS is also producing a modular on line learning resource on CLIAG which will be launched in March 2011.
All the workshops will be interactive and provide excellent opportunities to learn about new developments, networking and sharing effective practice.
