Entry criteria in UCAS entry profiles

Posted: 25 February 2010

Linking London Lifelong Learning Network has been working with partners on entry criteria as displayed in UCAS entry profiles for admission to HE, to help ensure that information for non-A level applicants is available and as clear as possible.

Experience on this project and the findings have led the network to explore, compare and sample the state of play in this area nationally by conducting a 10% sample across the country, in each of the nine regions. The findings show that there is still much work to be done in this area. The network has drawn this information to the attention of the DCSF, as it impacts on the information diploma learners have had access to, or not, when they applied to HEIs through UCAS this winter. SPA were also at this meeting and it is also aware that this piece of research is coming shortly.
