Posted: 22 September 2010

Dr. Lucy Hearne, Department of Education and Professional Studies, University of Limerick, has launched a report on her recent doctoral thesis in the Waterford Institute of Technology. The report, Measuring Individual Progression in Adult Guidance: An Irish Case Study, is a synopsis of the findings from a longitudinal study carried out in the Regional Educational Guidance Service for Adults (REGSA), WIT. The research was funded by an IRCHSS (Irish Research Council for the Humanities and Social Sciences) scholarship. It is envisaged that the findings from the study will contribute to adult guidance practice, policy and research in Ireland and further afield.
