Mo Osborne Award
Posted: 30 September 2010
NAEGA is announcing the establishment of an award in memory of Mo Osborne, who died earlier this year.
Mo was Company Secretary for NAEGA since 2005 and was deeply committed to the delivery of quality career guidance for adults. She started her career in guidance in the early 1980s after leaving teaching. She worked in a number of London Boroughs but spent the majority of her career working for Hertfordshire Careers Service and finally as manager of the nextstep service. She was a passionate advocate for adult guidance and worked tirelessly for NAEGA as a member of the Board and as Company Secretary. In recognition of the commitment and contribution of Mo to NAEGA the Board would like to establish an award in her memory.
This award is being established to promote and disseminate good practice within adult guidance. It will be awarded to an individual who has been able to demonstrate an outstanding contribution to adult guidance; this may be in the form of service delivery, research, development of personal or organizational practice. The key criteria are that impact and promotion of adult guidance must be evidenced.
The award is open to all NAEGA members. The closing date for nominations is 5pm on 17th December 2010.
